Orcas Island is considered to be one of the most magnificent destinations in the Pacific Northwest. Also known as the "Gem of the San Juans," Orcas Island is accessible from the mainland by Washington State Ferry, by airline from Sea-Tac airport at Seattle, or by private boat or plane. Orcas Island is part of the San Juan Islands archipelago and with over 36,000 acres it is also the largest of the islands.

Located in the banana belt of northwest Washington, Orcas enjoys over 260 days of sunshine and receives only about 22 inches of rain per year, much less than Seattle. Orcas Island has 125 miles of salt water coastline, and its natural features offer a variety of terrain with lush valleys, mountain peaks, and fresh water lakes.

Orcas Island has been a favorite for generations of visitors from all over the world. The population is diverse and scattered throughout the Island's towns, pastoral, mountain, and marine settings, giving Orcas Island a feeling of peaceful tranquility and Orcas Island residents and visitors enjoy a wonderful variety of culture.

Constitution in Moran State Park offers panoramic views of the entire archipelago and is considered one of the finest Marine Views in all of North America.

Moran State Park boasts miles of hiking trails, several swimming holes and hundreds of camp sites. Breathtaking scenery is around every corner. Orcas Island is the place for hiking trails through unspoiled forests, boating, sailing, biking, kayaking, diving, fishing and more.
